Mexico sets August 2026 payment calendar for primary school supply scholarship

The Government of Mexico announced the schedule for disbursing the Beca Rita Cetina, a 2,500‑peso annual scholarship for school supplies and uniforms to primary‑school students. The program will benefit 6,694,988 students with a total outlay of 16.7 billion pesos.

Payments will be made from 3 August to 14 August 2026, staggered by the first letter of the beneficiary’s paternal surname (A‑B on 3 Aug, C on 4 Aug, D‑F on 5 Aug, etc., ending with T‑Z on 14 Aug). Deposits are delivered through more than 3,000 Banco del Bienestar branches and can be accessed via the program’s card, the Banco del Bienestar mobile app, or a toll‑free phone line; withdrawals are commission‑free and funds remain in the account until used.
