Mexico State Judiciary approves new ethics code and health policies

The Judiciary of the State of Mexico (PJEdomex) has approved the 2026 Code of Ethics and a new Comprehensive Health Policy for its personnel.

The approved Code of Ethics includes updates regarding impartiality, professional secrecy, and access to justice. Notably, the code establishes standards to ensure that judicial decisions are not delegated to automated systems or Artificial Intelligence without human supervision. It also emphasizes judicial courtesy, integrity, and the prevention of conflicts of interest.

Simultaneously, the Judicial Administration Body approved a Comprehensive Health Policy aimed at improving employee well-being. This initiative includes preventive medical exams, mental health support, vaccination campaigns, and nutritional guidance. The policy also introduces measures to combat workplace violence through confidential reporting channels and provides specific protections for pregnant employees and those in vulnerable situations.
