Mexico weather: Heavy rains and storms forecast for Jalisco and Guanajuato
Heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential hail are forecasted for several regions in Mexico due to the interaction of low-pressure channels, cyclonic circulation, and tropical wave number 26.
In the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area and western Jalisco, the National Meteorological Service warns of intense rains with accumulations between 75 and 150 millimeters. These storms may cause flooding, rising river levels, and electrical discharges. Temperatures in Guadalajara are expected to range between 15 and 28 degrees Celsius.
In Guanajuato, strong rains are anticipated, particularly in the southwest, south, and west regions. Cities such as León, Irapuato, and San Miguel de Allende are expected to experience cloud cover and heavy precipitation, primarily during the evening. Wind gusts in the area may reach between 40 and 60 km/h.
