Mexico welfare scholarship registration set for September 2026

Registration for several Mexican welfare scholarship programs for the 2026-2027 school year is scheduled to take place from September 21 to September 30, 2026. These programs include the Beca Benito Juárez for high school students, Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro for higher education students, and the Beca de Transporte Gertrudis Bocanegra.

For the Beca Benito Juárez, eligible students in public high schools up to age 25 can receive 1,900 pesos bimonthly. Before the online registration period, schools will hold informative assemblies between September 14 and September 30, 2026, to provide specific details regarding dates and locations.

In Michoacán, the Institute of Higher and Upper Secondary Education (Iemsysem) confirmed that the registration period applies to local students. The Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro program offers 5,800 pesos bimonthly for eligible university students. Mariana Sosa Olmeda, Director General of Iemsysem, stated that the first deposits are expected in December, including retroactive payments once academic information is validated.
