Mexico wins multiple medals at World Junior Diving Championships
Mexican divers have secured multiple medals at the 2026 World Junior Diving Championships in Rijeka, Croatia. Adriana Torres and Suri Cueva earned a silver medal in the women's 10-meter synchronized platform event (ages 14-18) with a score of 292.02. They finished behind China's Yuehan Jiang and Qingcheng Yuan, while Russia's Aleksandra Kedrina and Viktoria Kazantseva took bronze.
In the women's 1-meter springboard event (ages 16-18), Rut Páez won the bronze medal with a score of 389.25. The gold medal went to Germany's Emily Deml, and silver to Canada's Lila Stewart. This marks Páez's fifth medal in World Junior Championships, following her performance in Rio de Janeiro in 2024.
These results add to Mexico's previous success in the competition, which included a 1-2 finish by Mia and Lia Cueva in the women's 1-meter springboard (ages 14-15). Additionally, Joshua Becerra finished fourth in the men's 3-meter springboard final (ages 16-18).
