Mexico Youth Entrepreneurs Meet Economy Secretary on Support Policies
Mexico's Secretary of Economy, Diego Aguerrebere, held a meeting with leaders of the Intercamaral Juvenil de Sinaloa to strengthen dialogue with young entrepreneurs. The discussion covered proposals to boost entrepreneurship, networking events such as Ódise and Conecta, the use of new technologies, and the creation of a single‑window service to simplify company registration. Participants also raised concerns about the pending Entrepreneurship Promotion Law and suggested a mass event to provide conferences and tools for business development.
In a parallel effort, delegates at the Youth Parliamentary Forum in the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, led by deputy José Luis Hernández, demanded real incentives for small and medium‑size enterprises. They called for transparent auditing of public funds, real‑time monitoring of credit allocations, and greater oversight by the Auditoría Superior de la Federación. The youth representatives highlighted that less than 3 % of public procurement contracts go to newly created firms and urged stricter enforcement of licensing timelines to reduce bureaucratic barriers for startups.
