Mexico‑Czech Republic agro‑food trade reaches $39 million in 2025

Mexico’s Ministry of Agriculture reported that bilateral agro‑food trade with the Czech Republic totaled $39 million in 2025. Exports from Mexico to the Czech market amounted to $30 million, while imports from the Czech Republic were $9 million, giving Mexico a $21 million surplus. The trade has grown at an average annual rate of 10.5 % between 2021 and 2025, with Mexican products such as citrus peels, melons, watermelons, beer, corn flour, pickled vegetables, sauces, fresh fruit and walnut wood dominating the Czech market.

The government’s strategy aims to diversify export destinations, supported by the modernised Global Agreement with the European Union, which removes tariffs on 86 % of agricultural goods and safeguards Mexican products through geographical indications.
