Guanajuato's 2026 Vendimias Wine Festival Draws Visitors
The 2026 Vendimias season in Guanajuato runs from 1 August to 18 October, featuring 16 enotourism experiences across the municipalities of Dolores Hidalgo, San Miguel de Allende, Irapuato and Silao. Organized by the Secretariat of Tourism and Identity (SECTURI) under secretary Lupita Robles León, the festival offers traditional grape‑stomping, vineyard tours, wine tastings, gastronomic events, cultural performances and meetings with wine producers.
The event is promoted as a way to showcase the quality of Guanajuato’s wines, support local producers, service providers and host communities, and strengthen regional identity. Guanajuato, the fourth‑largest wine‑producing state in Mexico, hosts 82 viticultural projects, of which 27 provide enotourism activities, positioning the state as a leading destination for Mexican wine tourism.
