Mexico's DIF delivers mobility aid in Guachochi and opens collection hubs for Venezuelan relief
The State DIF in Guachochi handed out 15 functional mobility devices—including wheelchairs, walkers and canes—and 50 food parcels to people in vulnerable situations, especially pregnant women staying at the regional nutrition and maternity shelter (Cerenam). Local officials, including municipal president José Yáñez and DIF representatives, attended the ceremony.
In Guanajuato, the State DIF announced the opening of dozens of collection points across the state, from the capital’s Paseo de la Presa to municipal offices in Acámbaro and Xichú, to gather non‑perishable food, hygiene supplies and cleaning tools for families affected by the humanitarian emergency in Venezuela. Collections run from July 1 to July 10, with strict handling to ensure donations reach their destination in good condition.
