Mexico's DIF honors anti‑trafficking hotel program and delivers disability aids

The municipal DIF office in Benito Juárez, Quintana Roo presented the “Contra la Trata de Personas” distinction to a hotel group after more than 15,000 tourism workers were trained to identify, prevent and report human‑trafficking cases. Director Marisol Sendo Rodríguez said, “La trata de personas constituye una de las más graves violaciones a los derechos humanos,” emphasizing the need for information, sensitization and active participation.

The state DIF in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, distributed around 150 functional supports, primarily wheelchairs, to people with disabilities from Juárez and surrounding municipalities. Director of Rehabilitation Hiram Mendoza explained that additional hearing‑aid devices will be delivered in the coming weeks, and noted, “Las personas pueden acercarse al CRIT o a las oficinas del DIF Estatal en el Pueblito Mexicano para integrar su expediente.”
