Mexico rolls out school supply kits and scholarship cards for 2024‑25

In the state of Campeche, Welfare Secretary Esteban Hinojosa Rebolledo said free school supplies and uniforms will be handed out within two weeks after classes start, and more than 1,500 laptops will be distributed to high‑school, university and some secondary students in early September.
The Bienestar program in Chihuahua reported that 119,549 students across primary (Beca Rita Cetina), secondary (Beca Benito Juárez) and university (Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro) levels have received scholarship cards. The Rita Cetina scholarship provides a one‑time grant of 2,500 pesos per primary‑school child.
The August payout schedule for the Beca Rita Cetina will follow a surname‑letter order, with deposits of 2,500 pesos per child, continuing after the final card distribution on 31 July. Together, these initiatives aim to reduce the financial burden on families throughout several Mexican states as the new academic year begins.
