Mexico's Food Exports to United Kingdom Hit Record $184 Million

Under President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, Mexico's agro‑food sector increased exports to the United Kingdom by 15 percent, rising from $160 million to a record $184 million for 2024‑2025. The volume of shipments grew 70.3 percent to 104.4 thousand tonnes.

Key products included tequila ($42.7 m), sauces ($27.2 m), cane molasses ($18.5 m), sesame oil, honey, berries and walnuts. The Agriculture Secretariat, led by Columba Jazmín López Gutiérrez, highlighted the growth in sauces (45.2 %) and molasses (38.2 %) since 2021, emphasizing the quality and diversity of Mexican foods and their expanding presence in the UK market.
