Mexico's INE adopts new lilac and blue institutional identity

Mexico’s National Electoral Institute (INE) has announced a significant update to its institutional graphic identity, replacing its long-standing Mexican pink color with a palette of lilac and navy blue. The change, approved by the Executive General Board, marks the most substantial visual transformation for the organization since its establishment in 2014.

According to INE President Guadalupe Taddei, the rebranding aims to project a more sober and uniform visual communication. A primary objective is to prevent confusion between the electoral body and political organizations or parties, particularly during field operations in election periods. The new identity includes a lilac logo featuring the traditional diamond shape representing a ballot in a ballot box, paired with navy blue typography.

The institute clarified that this update is strictly visual and does not affect its constitutional powers, including election organization, credential issuance, or fiscal oversight.
