Mexico's INEA Provides Free Literacy and Basic Education to 958 Migrant Farm Workers

The National Institute for Adult Education (INEA) in Mexico is delivering free primary and secondary education services to 958 migrant agricultural laborers nationwide. Secretary of Public Education Mario Delgado Carrillo said the program offers flexible study modules, mobile‑friendly platforms such as AprendeINEA, and the option to obtain certification through accreditation exams. INEA’s network of community centers, meeting points and study circles enables participants to enroll, receive tutoring and take exams regardless of their location or work schedule.

INEA aims to ensure that labor mobility does not hinder the right to education, helping these workers improve their social and economic conditions by achieving basic literacy and schooling.
