Mexico's Partido Paz Gains Official Registration and Plans National Congress

Mexico's electoral institute has formally accredited the newly created political party Partido Paz, authorising its structure, funding limits and internal election timelines for the 2026‑2027 electoral cycle. The institute appointed Melissa Paola Miranda Pazy and Miguel Ángel Cisneros as the party’s primary and alternate representatives to the governing council and set a budget of MXN 2.421 248 for the period July‑December 2026, with private donation caps of MXN 9.479 631 overall and MXN 947 963 per individual.

State leader David Valenzuela Barrios announced that Partido Paz will hold a national congress in late May to elect its national leadership and establish state, regional and municipal directives. The party claims roughly 7,500 members in the state of Tamaulipas and intends to field candidates for municipal presidencies, state deputies and federal deputies across the state.
