Mexico's Playa Miramar and Progreso Beaches Record Strong Summer Visitor Turnout

Mayor Erasmo González Robledo and Tamaulipas tourism secretary Benjamín Hernández Rodríguez inspected the summer vacation operation on Playa Miramar, confirming that more than 1,095,000 visitors have arrived this season. They highlighted the coordinated work of lifeguards, civil protection, transit and rescue services that keep the beach safe and organized.

In the Yucatán town of Progreso, a Saturday was marked by a steady flow of families, friends and tourists enjoying the beach without the usual weekend crowds. Lifeguards, vendors and local services operated normally, and no incidents were reported throughout the day.
