The Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) of Mexico, led by National President and senator Alejandro Moreno, announced a series of "Diálogos por la Seguridad" to craft a new Security and Peace program. Four regional forums will be held in Tijuana (August 7), Guadalajara (August 11), Mérida (August 14) and Monterrey (August 19), bringing together specialists, academics, civil‑society groups and party militants.

A national seminar is scheduled for Mexico City on August 26, after which the PRI will present its Security and Peace Program on September 7. Former governors Rubén Moreira, Miguel Ángel Riquelme, Miguel Alonso Reyes and Rolando Zapata Bello are expected to share their experiences on public safety during the events.
