Mexico's Profeco launches nationwide back-to-school fair with free services
The Federal Consumer Protection Agency (Profeco) confirmed the 2026 "Feria Regreso a Clases" will take place on 15–16 August at Expo Reforma in Mexico City, offering free entry. The event is part of a series of 55 fairs across Mexico aimed at helping families reduce school‑start expenses through discounted school supplies, uniforms, footwear and telecom services.
In addition to price promotions, Profeco will provide free consumer‑rights counseling, medical certificates and hair‑cut services—costs that families usually incur for the new school year. The fair also includes workshops on domestic technologies to help attendees save money.
The initiative seeks to consolidate multiple vendors, manufacturers and retailers in one location, allowing parents and guardians to compare prices and access complementary services in a single visit.
