Mexico's tax agency SAT reports record collection and expands mobile services

The Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) marked its 29th anniversary by announcing a historic collection of nearly 3 trillion pesos in tax revenue for the first half of 2026. The agency highlighted that more than 17 million taxpayers were assisted through both in‑person and remote channels, and that its mobile‑office program visited roughly 400 municipalities, bringing services to remote communities.

During the week of 13–17 July, SAT opened thousands of appointment slots across all 32 states, offering direct access to procedures such as RFC registration, e‑signature issuance, tax data updates and other taxpayer services. The mobile units are expected to serve about 6,400 contributors and process 12,800 transactions in 24 states during that period. The expanded availability aims to reduce travel burdens for taxpayers and improve compliance.

SAT’s efforts are presented as part of a broader strategy to combat tax evasion, simplify procedures and strengthen the institution’s presence nationwide.
