Mexico's SICT rolls out Llave MX platform for all vehicle and driver‑license procedures

The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT) of Mexico announced that, starting in June, every federal vehicle‑control and driver‑license transaction will be processed through a single digital account called Llave MX.

Users must create a profile with a username, password, CURP, email and an active mobile number; the system can be accessed via the DGAF microsite or the government portal gob.mx. The platform stores requests and lets applicants track their submissions, aiming to speed up procedures and reduce third‑party interference.

The initiative implements the National Law to Eliminate Bureaucratic Procedures and was developed in coordination with the Agency for Digital Transformation and Telecommunications, seeking a unified digital language for the Mexican government and simpler access for citizens.
