Mexico's Tax Service expands mobile units and business help events
The Servicio de Administración Tributaria (SAT) in Baja California has begun a mobile‑unit program called “Amigos del SAT” to bring tax, licensing and vehicle‑plate services to remote neighborhoods such as Primo Tapia in Rosarito. Director Jesús García Castro said the initiative is meant to strengthen local businesses, create jobs and reduce exposure to organized crime by making compliance easier.
Separately, a municipal office and the SAT are holding a “SAT en el SARE” day on 31 July at the Sistema de Apertura Rápida de Empresas (SARE) in Mexico City. The event will allow citizens to register for a tax identification number (RFC), obtain electronic signatures, request tax certificates and receive guidance on municipal licenses, all by appointment with required identity and address documents.
