Meziříčko techno party draws 3,000 attendees and police intervention

The KIKIMORA KALBAH III techno party held at Brázdova Mlýn near Meziříčko, Czech Republic, extended from a planned weekend event to a six-day gathering. The event drew more than 3,000 attendees, the majority of whom were foreign nationals, resulting in over 700 vehicles being parked in the surrounding area.

Police presence was maintained from August 20 to August 25 to manage public order, traffic flow, and security. During the operation, officers issued 35 fines for traffic violations and identified ten drivers testing positive for substances including amphetamines, cocaine, and marijuana. Additionally, 51 drivers suspected of driving under the influence refused medical examinations for biological sampling. Authorities imposed bail totaling 395,500 CZK on 31 individuals to prevent them from avoiding administrative proceedings.

Law enforcement also addressed alcohol-related offenses, including several motorists recorded with blood alcohol levels exceeding 1.0 promille.
