MG expands European SUV lineup with MGS9 PHEV and S6 models

MG is expanding its European automotive lineup with the introduction of new SUV models. In the Czech market, the brand has launched the MGS9 PHEV, a nearly five-meter-long seven-seater plug-in hybrid SUV. The vehicle features a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 170 kW electric motor and a 24.7 kWh battery, allowing for an electric-only range of up to 100 kilometers. With a 65-liter fuel tank, the total range can exceed 1,000 kilometers. The model offers significant cargo flexibility, with a trunk volume of up to 1,026 liters when the third row is folded.

Simultaneously, the MG S6 is being positioned as a key contender in the D-segment electric SUV market in Poland. While the S6 offers a well-equipped interior and functional technology like the MG Pilot system, its pricing remains competitive with established European manufacturers. The S6 features a front trunk (frunk) with a capacity between 102 and 124 liters depending on the drivetrain configuration.
