MG Motor expands European operations and electrification

MG Motor is expanding its presence and operational structure across Europe. In Germany, the brand is seeing a significant shift toward electrification, with approximately 80 percent of customers choosing models with at least one electric component, including battery electric, plug-in hybrid, and hybrid options. MG aims to sell more than 30,000 vehicles in the German market this year.

In the Czech Republic and Slovakia, MG is transitioning from an importer-based model to a directly managed structure. This move allows the company to take direct responsibility for sales, after-sales services, and brand activities in these markets to accelerate growth. This shift is part of the brand’s “In Europe, for Europe” strategy, which focuses on tailoring products and technologies to local European conditions and customers.
