MG Motor India announced that it will launch the new Hector Hawk SUV on 28 August. The model will be built on a new platform and will be offered with both full‑electric and plug‑in hybrid powertrains. It will use a 1.5‑litre turbo‑petrol engine paired with a 20.5 kWh battery and an electric motor, delivering about 195 hp and 230 Nm of torque. The plug‑in hybrid version is claimed to travel up to 125 km on a full charge.
In August 2026 the company also raised the prices of its existing MG Hector and Hector Plus SUVs. The base Style trim of the 5‑seater Hector remains at Rs 11.99 lakh (ex‑showroom), but other trims see increases of Rs 30,800 to Rs 50,800. As a result, the 5‑seater range now spans Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 19.5 lakh, while the 7‑seater Hector Plus is priced between Rs 18 lakh and Rs 20 lakh. All models continue to be powered by the same 1.5‑litre turbo‑petrol engine with 6‑speed manual or CVT options.
