MG Motor Indonesia launches MG ZS Hybrid+ in Makassar

MG Motor Indonesia has officially introduced the MG ZS Hybrid+ in Makassar, South Sulawesi. This launch aims to expand the company’s electrification offerings and strengthen its market presence in Eastern Indonesia.

Through a partnership with dealer partner PT Sinar Galesong Automobil, MG seeks to provide local consumers with better access to its products and services. The MG ZS Hybrid+ utilizes Hybrid+ technology, which combines a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a high-power electric motor and a 3-speed dedicated hybrid transmission. This Intelligent Propulsion System produces a combined maximum power of 214 PS, designed to balance responsiveness with fuel efficiency.

Jason Huang, CEO of MG Motor Indonesia, stated that Makassar is a vital city for the national automotive market and the growth of vehicle electrification in the Eastern Indonesian region. The hybrid model is intended to offer consumers the benefits of electrification while maintaining the flexibility required for long-distance travel.
