MG Motor launches Hector Tomahawk EV with 517 km range
MG Motor has introduced the MG Hector Tomahawk EV, a new electric SUV designed for the Indian market. Built on a new platform, the vehicle is available in both plug-in hybrid and all-electric options. The electric version features a 69.2 kWh battery pack, producing 204 bhp and 310 Nm of torque, with an estimated range of approximately 517 kilometers on a full charge.
The SUV offers 5-seater and 7-seater configurations and includes premium interior features such as a 15.6-inch touchscreen with gesture control, a panoramic sunroof, a 360-degree camera, and a 10-speaker sound system. Safety technologies include Level-2 ADAS, while utility features include V2L and V2V capabilities.
As electric vehicle adoption grows, maintenance experts emphasize specific care requirements for EVs to ensure longevity. Key recommendations include maintaining battery charge levels between 20% and 80% to reduce stress, monitoring tire pressure due to the increased weight and torque of electric cars, and performing regular software updates to stabilize range and battery health.
