MG Motor launches MGS9 PHEV seven-seater SUV in Czech Republic

MG Motor Czech has introduced the MGS9 PHEV, the brand’s first large seven-seater SUV to enter the Czech market. The vehicle features a plug-in hybrid powertrain with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine producing a maximum output of 220 kW. It is designed for versatility, offering three rows of seating and a substantial cargo capacity of 1,026 liters when the third row is folded down.

Measuring approximately 4.98 meters in length, the MGS9 PHEV aims to compete in the large family SUV segment. Martin Králíček, General Manager of MG Motor Czech, described the model as the brand’s most versatile to date, emphasizing its ability to provide significant space without compromising comfort or equipment levels. The vehicle is available in Comfort and Premium trim levels, with prices starting at 999,990 CZK.

Key technical specifications include a 0–100 km/h acceleration time of 9.6 seconds and a top speed of 200 km/h. The model includes a 7-year or 150,000 km warranty as standard. The interior is designed to accommodate families, featuring a nearly three-meter wheelbase and flexible seating configurations, including a 60:40 split for the second row.
