MG Motor posts record sales in Poland and India

MG Motor Poland recorded a strong May 2026, registering 1,723 new passenger cars – a rise of almost 40 % year‑on‑year – giving the brand a 3.47 % market share. Two models, the MG HS and MG ZS, placed in the top five of cars most often chosen by private buyers, and hybrid‑plus vehicles now account for about 80 % of the brand’s Polish sales, putting MG in second place nationally for HEV sales.

In India, JSW MG Motor reported its highest‑ever monthly wholesale dispatch in June 2026, delivering 7,568 vehicles – a 29.8 % increase over June 2025 and a 25.1 % rise from May. Over 75 % of the June sales were electric vehicles, reflecting growing consumer preference amid higher fuel prices and energy‑market uncertainty. The company’s Q2 2026 wholesale volume reached 19,634 units, up 9.3 % year‑on‑year, and it launched the Majestor, India’s first D‑segment SUV, while announcing a forthcoming seven‑seat PHEV SUV.
