MG4 electric vehicle retains 90% battery capacity after 200,000 km

An MG4 Standard electric vehicle used for ride-hailing services in Madrid has demonstrated significant battery durability after reaching 200,000 kilometers. The vehicle, which has been in service since June 2023 for Cabify, maintains approximately 90% of its original 49 kWh battery capacity, according to a State of Health (SOH) analysis performed by an official dealership.

In addition to battery performance, the vehicle has required minimal maintenance. Aside from annual scheduled services and two sets of tire replacements, the original brake discs and pads remain intact. This longevity is attributed to regenerative braking, which uses the electric motor to recover energy during deceleration, thereby reducing wear on the conventional braking system.
