MGC party members deny financial misconduct following resignations

Four former vice-presidents of the Mouvement des générations capables (MGC), led by Simone Ehivet Gbagbo, have issued a public statement addressing their recent resignations from the party. The former officials—Irène Gohourou, Ago Marthe Zadi, Jean-Claude Kouao, and Yves Djédjé—assert that their departures were based on personal conscience and a misalignment between the party’s proclaimed values and its actual operations.

The group explicitly denies allegations of financial misconduct, specifically contesting rumors that an former official was involved in the misappropriation of 300 million FCFA intended for the party president. They characterized these claims as personal attacks intended to damage their reputations and honor.
