MHP names Hakan Yıldırım Adana province chief amid nationwide party restructuring

The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) announced the dissolution of its Adana provincial organization under party statutes articles 52 and 54 and appointed Hakan Yıldırım as the new provincial chairman. The announcement was made by MHP General President Deputy Semih Yalçın, who stated: "Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi Adana il teşkilat organları parti tüzüğümüzün 52. ve 54. maddelerinin tanıdığı yetkiye istinaden feshedilmiştir. Yine aynı maddelerin verdiği yetki çerçevesinde, Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi Adana İl Başkanlığı görevine Hakan Yıldırım atanmıştır."

Yıldırım, previously the MHP district chairman in Seyhan, Adana, is known for intensive grassroots activity and ambitious electoral targets, such as the "100 000 vote" goal during his district leadership. The Adana restructuring follows similar actions in more than a dozen other provinces, including Istanbul, Kütahya, Eskişehir, and others, indicating a broad party-wide reorganization.

The changes are part of a larger effort by the MHP to revamp its regional structures ahead of upcoming local elections, aiming to strengthen party control and improve electoral performance across Turkey.
