Miami-Dade explores Vice City-themed partnership with Rockstar Games
Miami-Dade County officials are in discussions with Rockstar Games regarding a large-scale themed partnership to coincide with the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI. The proposal aims to transform various real-world locations in Miami into a physical representation of the game’s fictional setting, Vice City.
According to Carlos Suárez, a spokesperson for Miami-Dade Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, talks have occurred, though no formal agreement has been reached. The county views the initiative as a way to generate revenue and showcase the region to a massive global audience.
The submitted plan includes several visual and experiential elements, such as GTA VI-branded aircraft and customized baggage areas at Miami International Airport. Other suggestions involve wrapping downtown Metromover trains in Vice City graphics, installing local artist murals at major stations, and creating themed installations at PortMiami and Rickenbacker Beach.
