Green Bay Packers trade quarterback Kyle McCord to Miami Dolphins

The Green Bay Packers have traded quarterback Kyle McCord to the Miami Dolphins. McCord, who showed strong preseason performance with Green Bay, joins the Dolphins as the number two quarterback behind Malik Willis.

To address the vacancy left by McCord, the Packers signed Kedon Slovis to their practice squad. Slovis previously played for the Arizona Cardinals and has experience at USC, Pittsburgh, and BYU. Packers head coach Matt LaFleur noted that Slovis’s familiarity with the coaching style used by his brother, Mike LaFleur in Arizona, may assist his transition.

In Miami, McCord is working to acclimate to the offense alongside Willis, who also recently transitioned from the Packers roster.
