Miami Heat sign forward Ian Schieffelin to camp contract

The Miami Heat have signed forward Ian Schieffelin to an Exhibit 10 camp contract. The undrafted player previously appeared in five Summer League games for the organization, including stints in the San Francisco California Classic and the Las Vegas NBA Summer League.

Schieffelin joins the Heat following a collegiate career at Clemson University, where he was a standout basketball player and also played eight football games as a tight end during his graduate senior year. During his final basketball season at Clemson, he averaged 12.4 points and 9.4 rebounds per game, earning All-ACC Second Team honors.

In his recent Summer League appearances with Miami, Schieffelin averaged 8.4 points and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 46.7 percent from the field. The signing brings the Heat roster to 20 players, one below the NBA offseason limit.
