Michael Jordan's custom Ferrari to return to auction after 25 years

A custom 1997 Ferrari 550 Maranello previously owned by Michael Jordan is set to go to auction after being missing for approximately 25 years. The vehicle, which features bespoke exterior and interior finishes specified by Jordan, was located by the Miami-based dealer Curated in early 2026.

The online auction will be hosted by the platform Joopiter from September 15 to September 30. The car has a pre-sale estimate between $700,000 and $1.3 million, a significant premium over the standard Hagerty valuation for a 1997 550 Maranello, which typically sits below $300,000. This valuation gap is attributed to the car's documented celebrity provenance.

As part of the 'Driven to Greatness' theme, the Ferrari will be publicly exhibited in New York City from September 15 to 20. It will be displayed alongside a game-worn jersey from Jordan’s appearance in Game 3 of the 1998 NBA Finals.
