Falcons and Bears face injury uncertainty heading into Week 6 matchup

The Atlanta Falcons and Chicago Bears prepare for their upcoming matchup with significant updates regarding their starting quarterbacks. Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. has been cleared to start following a rib injury sustained during a Week 5 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. After being removed from the injury report and practicing in full, Penix is expected to lead the offense without additional protective measures or changes to the game plan.

In contrast, the status of Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams remains uncertain. Williams has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury. While he was listed as a full participant in practice, he has stated that no final decision has been made regarding his availability for Sunday.

Additionally, the Falcons' secondary will see a change as rookie cornerback Avieon Terrell is expected to make his starting debut, replacing the injured C. J. Henderson. On the Bears' side, offensive tackle Ozzy Trapilo is also expected to make his season debut following a recovery from a patellar tendon rupture.
