Michelin Guide announces 2026 American South restaurant winners

The MICHELIN Guide has released its second annual selection for the American South, honoring 265 restaurants across 44 cuisine types. The announcement took place during a ceremony in Nashville, Tennessee.

Three restaurants were awarded One MICHELIN Star: So. Fox in Atlanta, Uberto in Gay, Georgia, and Dakar NOLA in New Orleans. Additionally, the guide identified 14 new Bib Gourmand recipients, including Summerland in Atlanta, Safta’s Table in New Orleans, The Story of Mi Cariño in Charlotte, and Bao Toan Kitchen & Bar in Memphis.

The 2026 selection also includes 31 new Recommended restaurants. Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the MICHELIN Guide, noted that the inspectors found exceptional talent in both established dining destinations and smaller, unexpected communities throughout the region.
