Michelin Guide 2027 expands to Thessaloniki and Santorini

The 2027 Michelin Guide has significantly expanded its coverage in Greece, including Thessaloniki and Santorini for the first time alongside Athens. The new edition features 62 restaurants across these three major destinations.

In Santorini, Lycabettus at the Andronis Luxury Suites in Oia made a notable debut by earning two Michelin Stars. Led by chefs Christos Karagiannis and Petros Brandenburg, the restaurant is currently the only establishment in Greece to hold two stars.

Seven restaurants received their first Michelin Star this year: four in Athens (Aleria, Seeds, SENSE, and Simul) and three in Santorini. In Athens, the restaurant Delta saw a reduction, retaining only one star.

In Thessaloniki, the guide introduced seven Bib Gourmand establishments and 15 recommended restaurants, though no stars were awarded to the city in this edition. The expansion follows a period of collaboration between the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) and the Michelin Guide to promote the country's diverse culinary heritage and regional ingredients.
