Michelin Guide expands to Southwest, awards Utah first star

The Michelin Guide has expanded into the American Southwest, marking a significant milestone for the culinary scene in Utah, Nevada, New Mexico, and Arizona. During the inaugural Michelin Guide Southwest ceremony, several establishments were recognized, including six restaurants in Salt Lake City and three in Park City.

Notably, Monte in Salt Lake City has become Utah’s first and only Michelin-starred restaurant. Located within a distillery, the restaurant features seasonal menus focused on local ingredients and offers two dining options: a “short” menu for $120 and a “long” menu for $180.
