Michelin Guide recognizes restaurants across the American South

The second annual Michelin Guide American South ceremony, held in Nashville, honored numerous culinary establishments across the region, including Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Georgia.

In Mississippi, 13 restaurants and culinary professionals received 14 total recognitions. Notable honors included three Bib Gourmand awards, which Michelin grants to eateries providing “great food at a great value.” Recipients included Elvie’s in Jackson and Sacred Ground Barbecue in Flora. Additionally, 11 Mississippi restaurants were added to the guide’s recommended list, and an Oxford-based mixologist received the Exceptional Cocktail Award.

In South Carolina, Motor Supply Co. Bistro in Columbia earned a Michelin recommendation for the second consecutive year, joining Di Vino Rosso as one of the city's recognized establishments. The guide's second edition features 265 restaurants across the Southern United States.
