Michelle Tejeda proposes improved accessibility for people with disabilities

Michelle Tejeda, a deputy representing District I in Baja California, has introduced an initiative to improve accessibility for people with visual and hearing disabilities in public service modules.

The proposal seeks to reform the Law for Persons with Disabilities to ensure that orientation and public service spaces are equipped with staff trained in Mexican Sign Language (LSM). Additionally, the initiative calls for the implementation of alternative communication tools, such as Braille, written communication, and real-time transcription applications, to eliminate barriers in citizen services.
