Michigan River Tubing Rescue Ends with Three Found Safe

Two women, both 28, and a 9‑year‑old child vanished while tubing on the Muskegon River in Newaygo County, Michigan. After more than 24 hours of searching, Michigan State Police, a K‑9 team, conservation officers, and dozens of volunteers located the trio on Friday afternoon about a mile from a boat launch, deep in the woods.

The search was triggered when a car belonging to one of the women was found with a broken window near the launch. Tubes and footprints recovered the previous day helped narrow the area. Authorities confirmed the three were safe, though no further details on their condition were released.
