Michoacan authorities seize over 1,400 meth doses in Morelia raids

The Fiscalía General del Estado de Michoacán carried out three coordinated raids in the capital city of Morelia, targeting properties in the Lomas de Guayangareo and Ampliación Gertrudis Sánchez Etapa 2 neighborhoods. Law‑enforcement teams, including the high‑impact investigation police, a K9 unit, the National Guard and the Secretariat of National Defense, secured 1,452.5 doses of methamphetamine and 17.46 doses of marijuana.

The operations resulted in the detention of three individuals identified as Cristian Manuel (32), Luz Itzelh (21) and Juan Carlos (36). They were placed under the jurisdiction of the competent authorities following approval of the search warrants by a control judge. The bust underscores the state's focus on combating small‑scale drug trafficking and enhancing public security in Michoacán.
