Michoacán expands D4TA Datos Gratis connectivity to students and teachers

The Michoacán government has launched the registration period for the D4TA Datos Gratis program for the 2026-2027 school year. The initiative provides students in upper secondary and higher education with 4 GB of mobile data, unlimited social media, calls, and messages to reduce the digital divide.

For the first time, the program has expanded to include teachers from public high schools and universities. Registration for both students and educators is open until September 4 via the official platform. The Instituto de Educación Media Superior y Superior del Estado de Michoacán (Iemsysem) will manage the distribution and activation of SIM cards throughout September.

Separately, Carlos Torres Piña, an aspirant for the coordination of the Defense of Transformation and Sovereignty in Michoacán, has called for increased labor and political opportunities for the state's youth. He emphasized that improving security and economic growth is essential to providing stable futures for young people and preventing criminal activity.
