In political polling, Carlos Torres Piña holds a substantial lead among Morena-led alliance aspirants for the Michoacán governorship, according to a Mitofsky survey. Gladyz Butanda Macías also shows strong performance among female candidates.

Regarding education, the state government has guaranteed teacher salaries and benefits for the 2026 fiscal year, marking five consecutive years of uninterrupted school cycles.
