Mexico Senate advances priority reforms amid regional development projects

Various regional and national developments are occurring across Mexico. In the Senate, Ignacio Mier Velazco reported progress on priority reforms, including the General Law to Prevent, Investigate, and Sanction the Crime of Feminicide, as well as updates on industrial property and foreign investment laws.

In Michoacán, infrastructure and social initiatives are underway. Morelia is implementing the Morebús transit project with enhanced surveillance via C5 Michoacán. The state government has also completed four strategic road distributors in Morelia to improve mobility. Additionally, the government is investing in the restoration of historical centers, museums, and haciendas through the Community Work program.

Security and social services are also being addressed. The Michoacán Public Security Secretariat is warning against extortion via digital platforms and promoting the 911 Michoacán app for reporting. In Morelia, local authorities are launching a mobility campaign to prevent sidewalk obstructions, while Semmujeris and CEAV are providing gender-based violence training for municipal staff.
