Michoacán parties affirm Morena caucus stability as electoral reform sparks debate

Separately, Movimiento Ciudadano deputy Grecia Aguilar Mercado criticised President Claudia Sheinbaum for being misinformed about Michoacán’s electoral reform, asserting that the changes do affect independent candidacies. MC has lodged an unconstitutional‑challenge action with the Supreme Court of Mexico over the reform.
