Michoacán to hold assemblies for Rita Cetina Scholarship registration
The Secretary of Education in Michoacán, Patricia Flores Anguiano, announced that informative assemblies regarding the Rita Cetina Scholarship will be held across 6,930 primary and secondary schools in the state. These sessions aim to guide families through the incorporation and registration process. The strategy includes 3,555 in-person meetings and 3,375 virtual sessions, with an expected attendance of over 52,000 parents and guardians by October 31.
Julio León Trujillo, the national coordinator for the Welfare Scholarships, stated that the projected budget for 2027 is sufficient to cover all students, even if enrollment exceeds initial estimates. He emphasized that the current economic planning accounts for 100% of the student population and includes projections above current targets. Trujillo noted that the primary challenge is not a lack of funding, but ensuring that parents complete the administrative registration within the established timeframes.
