Mickoski inspects Idrizovo sewage project and announces highway expansion

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski inspected the first phase of a new sewage network construction project in Idrizovo, located within the Gazi Baba municipality. The project involves the installation of 1,478 meters of fecal sewage infrastructure, with a contract value of 49,188,012 denars funded through a government public call.

Mickoski announced an upcoming surge in infrastructure activity, including the construction of six highway sections across the country. He noted that construction is currently underway at more than 1,200 sites, emphasizing the use of domestic companies as an indicator of improved economic activity.

Key upcoming projects include the Blace–Skopje highway section, expected to begin around August 26, and the Bukojčani–Kičevo section in September. Additionally, the highway connection between Kičevo and Ohrid is progressing, with the Izvor to Vrbjani section anticipated to open in the second half of October, aiming for full completion of the entire section by the first quarter of 2027.
